Our mission is to improve the quality of life and care for the person afflicted with Alzheimer's or dementia, and their families. We do this by working directly with those in need, but also by working with organizations, such as care agencies, doctors' offices, or other businesses to: improve their understanding of the needs of a person with dementia and their families; and to assist in workforce development to raise the bar for the quality of care provided, and to work toward a consistent standard for person- and relational-centered care.
Until there is a cure, our ultimate goal is to work toward the day, with other organizations, when:
There is a standardized training and certification process for all caregivers working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients so that the bar is raised for consistent, quality care.
Organizations (e.g., general practitioner doctors' offices, other businesses) that interface with those afflicted with dementia understand how to have the most successful interactions, for the person afflicted and his or her family, as well as the staff.
We Improve Understanding
We have decades of experience using assessments, surveys, interviews, and observations to improve understanding. We apply this experience to work with other organizations to improve their understanding of those they serve, using survey technology, phone or live interviews, observations, assessments, and focus groups. We also collect our own data from organizations, Alzheimer's and dementia patients, and those who care for them, and share this data via our reports and white papers with our members on a regular basis.
Train, and Educate for Caregiving Organizations
We work with organizations that provide care for those in need to continue to raise the bar for the quality care provided by their caregivers, or other staff.
With expertise in assessments and certifications, and observing, coaching, and training talent, we know how to help organizations meet and exceed every expectation for caregiver service. We can help your organization be one for which Alzheimer's and dementia care is a true differentiator in today's senior care marketplace.
We Speak With and Educate Organizations and Communities
We are experts in adult learning and development, and apply this knowledge to advance information and education. We help organizations throughout communities that interface with Alzheimer's and dementia patients, but find themselves unprepared for the highest quality interactions through our speaking engagements and education and training programs. Our content is not medical in nature, but primarily focused on interactions that are person- and relational-centered in nature.
